Noire Soapstone

Noire Soapstone comes from the state of Rajasthan in northwestern India, near the Pakistan Border.  Noire is a Talc-Schist, which is one of the darkest and strongest soapstones available.   Noire has a dark grey background with blue hues and an abundance of rich bright white veins.   When oiled or treated with Dry Wax ,the background will turn jet black while the veins remain white, creating a beautiful contrast against the rest of the stone.
